Calling all artists, writers, crafters, and creatives! Join us each week for YA Creative Club, where tweens and teens can try out fun creative projects, learn new writing skills and artistic techniques, share their work, and make new creatively-minded friends.
During our “Poetry & Prose” sessions, we will discuss exciting topics related to creative writing and do some writing of our own! During our “Arts & Crafts” sessions, we will experiment with a variety of materials to create new works of art that you can take home at the end of the day.
Whatever our focus, each session is suitable for creatives of all skill levels, from beginners to artistic pros. New and returning members are always welcome at YA Creative Club! (Ages 11-18)
Sept 19 - Poetry & Prose: “Story Essentials”
What do you need to know before you sit down to write a story? In this creative writing session, we’ll talk about the basic essentials you’ll need to decide on before you begin planning a short story or novel, from your reason for writing to your genre to your intended audience!
