Forkland Convenience Center Under Repair

June 29, 2018 News

Due to recent flooding, the Forkland Convenience Center is not equipped to accept bulky household items (beds, mattresses, tables, etc.), bulky metal (washer, dryers, refrigerators, etc.), or recycling at this time. The tentative repair completion date is Friday July 20, 2018. While the center is under repair only one (1) 30-yard open top will be available for disposal. Traffic congestion is expected.

During repair, the Forkland center hours of operation will remain the same:
Monday & Tuesday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Friday & Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Closed: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, and Holidays

Due to this change in disposal options the Boyle County Department of Solid Waste Management is asking the public:

  1. Only come to the Forkland center with bagged household waste
  2. If you do stop by the center, please drive safely, be patient, and listen to the operator’s instructions
  3. If at all possible, go to another Convenience Center, such as Mitchellsburg, Perryville, or Alum Springs

Mitchellsburg Convenience Center:
4175 Mitchellsburg Road
(859) 332-4918

Perryville Convenience Center:
995 Harrodsburg Road
(859) 332-8225

Alum Springs Convenience Center:
775 Yates Road
(859) 854-3404
