The construction of the Splash Pad out by the Water Treatment Plant is in full swing. The water is on, the pipes were laid and have been covered in sand, and the final steps to bring the project to a successful completion are being taken in the coming weeks. In a discussion with the Public Work Director, Rick Henry, the next steps to the project were revealed to be that concrete had begun being poured on August 9th and the electric work would begin on August 13th. There is a large amount of concrete to be poured and a host of wires to be run before the project will be complete, but the hope is to have the Splash Pad finalized by the end of August. So far, the only trouble that has struck the project is one pipe head leaking a small geyser of water (which is included in the pictures).
