City of Danville Celebrates Manufacturing Week
Honoring the Makers Who Keep Us Moving

During Manufacturing week, local manufacturing leaders joined the City of Danville for a celebration at the Danville Water Plant which recently earned top honors as the 2025 Water Plant of the Year (Medium Operations) from the Kentucky/Tennessee Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

From generators that power the world to airplane braking systems, vehicle components and more, manufacturing in Boyle County means innovation, skill, and pride in every product. Together, local manufacturers provide more than 1,100 jobs and help shape Danville’s strong, resilient economy.

Perfectly positioned at the crossroads of U.S. 127 and U.S. 150, taking center stage in the bluegrass, with easy routes to Louisville and Lexington, and south to I-75, Danville is an ideal place to make things happen (and make things).

“This week is about celebrating the products and the people who make Danville a unique manufacturing hub in our region,” said Mayor James "J.H." Atkins. “Our manufacturers are innovators who keep our community moving forward with good-paying jobs, a highly skilled workforce, and some of our nation's most crucial products and materials.”

We invite you to celebrate Manufacturers Week by exploring and learning more about the products and services made in our community from our valued manufacturers and recognize them in your everyday life. (We're sure you share our gratitude for quality aircraft braking systems.):
