About

The Danville / Boyle County Parks and Recreation Department was established to provide recreational activities for the community, supervise the development of new parkland, and maintain existing park facilities. The Parks and Recreation Department believes in a positive sports environment for all, no matter a person's financial, social, or educational background.

The Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Department works closely with the Danville-Boyle County Parks & Recreation Committee to collect community feedback and develop meaningful recreation programs for all.

Jennie Rogers Community Center
410 E Main Street

Community Recreation center with basketball courts, cafeteria and classrooms - Currently hosts youth basketball and cheer, and pickleball - More opportunities coming soon!

Chocwalk Dog Park
Accessible through Millennium Park or Lannock/ Argyll Woods

The Chocwalk Dog Park features a large and small dog play area. Accessible through Millennium Park's Perimeter Path (behind softball/baseball fields) or through the Lannock entrance, at Lannock and Argyll Woods Dr.

Henson Park
E Main St

Walking trail with views of a nice pond and wetlands area. (No fishing allowed)

Butler Drive Park

Neighborhood park with a playground and walking trail.

Cowan Street Park
320 Cowan Street

Neighborhood park offering a playground, basketball courts, picnic area, and a small field (kickball, t-ball, etc.).

Lexington Avenue Water Education Park
387 E Lexington Ave

Located in the heart of the city, this park offers a splash pad, playground, and a picnic area.

Millennium Park
1000 Cunningham Way

The largest park in town with a large pond, playgrounds, walking trail, softball/baseball fields, soccer fields, skate park, dog park, tennis courts, picnic area/shelters, and a football field.

Michael M Smith Memorial Park
142 J.E. Woods Dr. (from 2nd Street)

Neighborhood park with splashpad, playground, a walking trail, picnic area/shelter, and creek access.

Jackson Park
Crosshill Rd

Neighborhood park with disc golf course, pickleball courts, baseball field, picnic area, playgrounds, and a walking trail
Entrances at the end of Crosshill Rd, Hilltop Rd, and Park Dr.

William E “Bunny” Davis Recreation Complex
110 Man-O-War Dr

The Willam E "Bunny" Davis Recreation Complex, at 110 Man-O-War Dr, houses the Parks & Recreation Department offices, and contains amenities such as the community pool, racquetball courts, fitness center, tennis courts and fitness classes.
