Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is one of 16 two-year colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), formed in 2005 by the consolidation of Lexington Community College and Central Kentucky Technical College. BCTC prepares students for successful transfer to four-year institutions or with skills needed to begin a career.

Norton Center for the Arts

Arts Center of the Bluegrass

West T. Hill Community Theatre

The Great American Dollhouse Museum

A family-friendly, educational, fun destination that is ranked #1 in Things to do in Danville on many sites including Tripadvisor. The museum showcases over 200 dollhouses, miniature buildings, and room boxes populated with tiny people at work and play. Miniatures store offers furniture, fixtures, accessories, building components in all price ranges.

Pioneer Playhouse

Pioneer Playhouse is the oldest outdoor theater in the state of Kentucky. Notable alumni actors include John Travolta, Lee Majors, then known as Harvey Yeary, and Jim Varney.

Wilderness Trail

After years of working with distilleries around the world to provide advice and fermentation products, Wilderness Trail Distillery launched their premium craft distillery in 2012 with a focus on making the highest quality Bourbon, Rye Whiskey and Vodka. Their founders Shane Baker and Pat Heist are fermentation experts with more than 20 years of experience in the production of alcohol and some of the best brands on the market today. Their specialty is making unique spirits from locally-grown grains to ensure quality, and adding a healthy dose of science in the process.

Boyle County Performing Arts Center

The Boyle County Performing Arts Center is owned and operated by Boyle County Schools. When the opportunity arose to build a new performing arts space, BCS chose to go beyond a typical school auditorium and invest in a multi-million dollar facility. The vision for the BCPAC was to serve not just Boyle County Schools students, but the greater Danville/Boyle County area by becoming a regional hub for student, community, and professional level performances and artistic exhibitions that both entertain and educate.

GLASS National Art Museum

“GLASS National Art Museum” features the museum collection of internationally known artist Stephen Rolfe Powell, who is widely recognized as a hot glass master of color. The Art Center acquired the collection in 2023 with the goals of keeping the collection together and sharing it with the public. The museum will also feature works by Dale Chihuly and Lino Tagliapietra along with other prominent artists.

FRYSCs provide support and resources to families while enhancing students' ability to succeed in school and aim to remove non-academic barriers to education. Families First Family Resource Center serves Mary G. Hogsett Primary School and Edna L. Toliver Intermediate School. Beacon Youth Services Center serves John W. Bate Middle School and Danville High School.

The Boyle County Family Resource Center is here to address basic needs for students and families including but not limited to school supplies, hygiene products, food, and/or clothing.

Offers a variety of programs to enhance the quality of life for their participants. By helping out with basic needs like food and clothing, they can help people move out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.

Family Services Association of Boyle County

Provides short-term financial assistance to those experiencing a temporary financial emergency. They also assist clients in identifying other programs and services that can contribute to their financial stability on a long term basis through direct client assistance, resource and referral programs, client initiatives and senior assistance.

United Way

United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community. They will connect you with resources and services to support basic and immediate needs as well as education and financial empowerment opportunities.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a Christian organization that exists to meet human need wherever, whenever and however it can through programs such as Christmas Assistance, Emergency Disaster Services, Youth Programs, Stable Housing and Food Insecurity.

Boyle County Cooperative Extension Services

The Extension Office is part of the University of Kentucky and Kentucky State University off-campus information network. They can connect you to UK, KSU and the world. They deliver information, education, and solutions. And they grow ideas into better communities, stronger local economies, and healthier lives. Programs include: 4-H Youth Development, Agriculture & Natural Resources, Family & Consumer Sciences, Horticulture, and Community & Economic Development.

Soups On Us

Four area churches participate in a program to serve nutritious meals to those that are hungry in our community. The weekend food delivery helps bridge the gap of food scarcity over weekends for disadvantaged or disabled seniors, adults and families.
