Boyle County Solid Waste & Recycling Hosting Two Events

Boyle County Solid Waste & Recycling is hosting a one day only household hazardous waste event. The event will be Saturday, August 24th at the Boyle County Recycling Center on the Danville Bypass. Items such as paint, motor oil, batteries, pesticides, drain cleaners, etc. can be brought to the recycling center for disposal.

Boyle County will also have its Waste Tire Collection Event on September 12th, 13th and 14th at the State Highway Garage on North Stewart’s Lane. Hours will be 8-4:30 on the 12th & 13th and from 8-3 on September 14th.

Will accept Tires on and off the rim; Passenger, Truck, Tractor Trailer, farm implement, ATV, Motorcycle and Bicycle.

No Foam or calcium filled, rubber tracks, Off Road Construction (OTR), Solid Tires, no tire with a bead greater than

1 3/4”;

No Tire Retailers, No salvage yards or out of state residents.

This event happens only once every 3 years.
