Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation -

The Danville City Commission and the Boyle County Fiscal Court met on Friday, March 8th at the Jennie Rogers Community Center to discuss the future of the Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation facilities and programs. The meeting primarily focused on potential (in the discussion phase) future projects and a variety of options for the development of the parks and recreation programs in the community.

The Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Department is managed by the City of Danville with monetary contributions from the Boyle County Fiscal Court. Each governing body makes appointments to the Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Committe, a citizen-led committee who offers recommendations to City of Danville staff. The Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Committee meets every 3rd Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall. Meetings of the Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Committee are open to the public. To contact the Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Department, please call 859-238-1233.
