JumpStart your Business
The JumpStart Program provide you with local resources to ensure a smooth and successful launch for your business. You'll engage with local economic development professionals, receive important information about business licensing/permitting, and support throughout the process.
Complete these steps:
Requirements may vary based on type of business and location.
1. Register your business with the State of Kentucky
2. Apply for a City of Danville Business License
3. Do you need alcohol licensing? Contact ABC Administrator
4. Is your business located in the Architectural Heritage District? - Permits and approvals are required for signage or alterations in the Architectural Heritage District. Contact Historic Preservation Coordinator prior to preparing signage.
5. Schedule Appropriate Inspections (where applicable) - Contact the Boyle County Health Department, City of Danville Fire Marshall or Building Inspector
6. Submit Signage Application to Danville-Boyle County Planning & Zoning Commission
7. Connect with the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce regarding Ribbon Cutting and Marketing opportunities
8. Schedule your final JumpStart Meeting - local support organizations will join you for a walk-through, ensuring you have everything you need to get started.
