The Danville Police Department will be hosting its Citizens Police Academy September 5th through October 17th. Classes will be held every Tuesday night from 6-8:30pm. There will be no class October 3rd.
This is a unique learning opportunity that will provide an up-close look at the Danville Police Department. The curriculum will be interactive and include topics such as department overview, patrol activities, telecommunications, criminal investigations, response to
resistance, active shooter, officer training, and crime scene processing.
All participants will have the opportunity to complete police related scenarios, traffic stops, defensive tactics and simunitions. The course is free.
